Description
This White Bronze Permit Profile buckle was hand carved in wax, cast in the lost wax process and finished by hand with a silvery patina that matches the look of the Permit; Handmade in the USA.
The buckle measures 3″ long x 1 3/4″ high. The belt is 1 1/4″ wide.
The Permit Fish is found in the warm tropical waters off Florida and the Caribbean and is the hardest fish to catch while fly fishing. The Permit is part of the Big Five Fish that are the most sought after fish to catch and release. The other four are; Trout, Salmon, Bonefish and Tarpon.
The belt is handmade in the USA of fine Bridle Leather with a warm Chestnut color in sizes ranging from 34″ to 44″.
A % of profits is donated to the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, The Nature Conservancy, The African Wildlife Foundation, and the NRDC.
This Permit buckle is being used for the trophy in 3 categories for the current March Merkin Permit Fishing Tournament in Key West – March 14-17 (to benefit the Bonefish Tarpon Trust). Our Permit Tailing Buckle was the trophy in 3 categories for the 2015 March Merkin Permit Tournament.
